Making a swap on Sushi is easy and intuitive! As always, make sure that you have enough funds to make the swap and enough funds for gas to complete the transaction on whichever chain you are looking to make the swap on - the vast majority of the time, this is the chain’s native currency, ie ETH on Ethereum, MATIC on Polygon, OP on Optimism, etc. before you begin.
Making The Swap
Step 1: Head over to the Sushi which will immediately direct you to the swap page.
Step 2: Double check that your wallet is connected and that you are on the correct network you want to be making the swap on. You can do this by checking the symbol in the top right next to the amount of native funds (gas tokens on most chains, as mentioned above) in your wallet. If you are not on the correct network, simply select the symbol and choose the network you would like to switch to.
Step 3: Now, all you need to do is choose the tokens you want to make swaps between. The top asset is the one from your wallet that you are looking to swap; the bottom asset is the one you’re looking to make a swap for. You can select the tokens from the dropdown box next to the input field, or you can import them directly via their contract address. There is also a gear icon in the right corner that you can select to give you the ability to adjust trade slippage, but if this is your first time making a swap we recommend leaving these at the default settings.
Note: The tokens that you have balances for in your wallet will be displayed first
Step 4: Finally, take note of the parameters of your swap. If you are comfortable with everything then make the necessary approvals if needed and select Swap to make the swap! Once the transaction is finished, you will now be able to see your newly swapped tokens in your wallet.
