With the recent launch of Sushi on the BitTorrent Chain (BTTC), you might be wondering how to interact with the chain on the Sushi interface or how to acquire their native token, BitTorrent Token (BTT), via Sushi. We’re here to help!
Let’s walk through how to do all of this and more below.
How To Add BTTC Network To Your Wallet
First things first, let’s learn how to add the BTTC network to your wallet so that you can interact with the chain.
Step 1: Head over to the Sushi app and select the Enter App option in the top right. Once on the default swap page, the area where Enter App was will now read Connect Wallet; select it to connect your wallet.
Step 2: Next, select the icon next to your connected wallet to pull up the Networks tab; it will look similar to the below:
Once here, select the BitTorrent Chain from the dropdown box. If you have previously connected to the BTTC network, your wallet will simply switch over to the network like normal. If you do not have the network added to your wallet, Sushi will give you the option to automatically add it for you!
Step 3: Simply select Approve and the network will automatically be added to your wallet, and you will now be able to swap to it from within your wallet interface whenever you choose (or select it from the Networks dropdown)!
That’s all there is to it - you are now officially connected to the BitTorrent Chain! Next, let’s learn how to get BTT on the network using Sushi.
Buying BTT On Sushi
The BitTorrent Token (BTT) is used to pay for gas on BTTC and for governance, so chances are that you will want to acquire some to play with on the network.
Step 1: You can swap for BTT on Ethereum Mainnet or BNB Smart Chain (BSC) utilizing Sushi which is relatively straightforward. Navigate to the Swap page by going to the Sushi app and selecting Enter App, same as before.
Step 2: Once on the Swap page, make sure that both your wallet is connected and that you are connected to either the Ethereum Mainnet or BNB by checking in the Networks tab next to your connected wallet. You will see an Ethereum or Binance symbol if you are on the correct network.
Step 3: The easiest way to get to the correct interface here is to head to the Earn app by selecting that tab from the top of the screen. Once on the Earn page, type in BTT in the Filter Tokens field to bring up all of our pools containing BTT. Select either the ETH/BTT pool (if on Ethereum) or any of the options with the Binance symbol (if on BSC) and select Trade in the bottom right from the pool page.
Step 4: This will now bring you to the correct swap page, with BTT as the bottom token. Select whichever asset you choose to swap for it, make any necessary approvals and then hit Swap. You will now have your BTT in your wallet!
If you want to bridge your BTT over to BTTC, you will just need to head to their website and use their official bridge and fill out the fields to bridge them over from Ethereum or BNB!
