Their Token Security API offers features such as token risk assessment, transaction security checks, and detailed token information, helping to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Flagging Honeypot and Scam Tokens with GoPlus Security’s Token Security API

We are leveraging GoPlus Security’s Token Security API to perform thorough security checks on new or unknown tokens. Whenever a user imports a token that isn’t included in our default token list, we call this API for a detailed security assessment. The results, including the token's risk rating and any potential warnings, are displayed in a popup before the user can interact with the token. This ensures that any new tokens undergo a comprehensive security check before our users engage with them, offering several key benefits:

• Early Detection of Threats: The API helps identify and assess the risk of tokens, allowing us to detect malicious tokens such as honeypots and scams before they reach our users.
• Comprehensive Security Checks: A (!) will show behind the ticker if an unknown token is found. Users can click on it for a detailed analysis, including transaction security checks and risk assessments, ensuring only safe tokens are available for interaction. (As shown below)

• User Alerts: If a token is deemed risky, users are immediately informed through a popup warning, allowing them to make informed decisions about whether to proceed with a transaction.
• Preventing Fraud: By flagging potentially fraudulent tokens early, we reduce the likelihood of users falling victim to crypto scams such as rug pulls, which can lead to significant financial losses.
